"Serving the children of the world"
Kiwanis Club of Alcoa meets every Thursday at 12:00 Noon for social, lunch, and program at the Knoxville Airport Hilton Hotel. Our club is a group of 72 dedicated Kiwanians that possess the unique ability to work hard, play hard, and get the job done on time. We are a team!
Since our club founding in 1954, we continue to focus on: (1) providing resources for the needy of our community, (2) supporting school service clubs, (3) conducting service projects within the community, (4) inviting guest speakers who inform or entertain at our weekly lunch meetings, and (5) assist in our Kiwanis International Project- Eliminate. The Eliminate program is our goal to eradicate maternal/neonatal tetanus in developing countries.
In addition to our weekly lunch meeting, we have a Satellite Club for our members who are unable to attend the traditional weekly meeting because of work or other reasons. This arm of our club meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 7:00 to 8:00 AM at IHOP Restaurant where work and play take place over a stack of pancakes
We invite all to visit either our traditional or satellite meeting if you are interested in Kiwanis or becoming a member. Please do not be a stranger to Alcoa Club of Kiwanis. We welcome visitors, and we look forward to welcoming you.
